When it is time for your child to transition to Reception Class we work very closely with the school in order for your child to get used to their new class and meet their new teachers. Your child will be involved in a series of sessions where they will visit the school and spend time with their new teacher, they will also receive visits from teachers during their time in the setting.

Pre-School takes place during term time, along with our Breakfast and After School Club:
For busy parents on a tight schedule, we offer breakfast club starting from 8am on weekdays, where your child can come in for breakfast and a practitioner will take them to their class when school begins.

After School Club begins at around 3:15pm, a practitioner will collect your child from their class and take them to Polka Day Care where they will be provided with a homemade tea, and a range of activites, ready to be collected by a parent when they’ve finished work.

During the half term holidays the Pre-School Room becomes Holiday Club for those children with working parents.

Holiday Club is open to all children up to age 11; the children have independent access to a wide range of activities and resources. During the holidays we make use of the outdoor facilities of the school, including the tennis courts, large playing field, Tyre Park, fairy garden and wildlife areas. All whilst being supervised by highly qualified practitioners.
