Our Facilities
Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable, integrated care and education for parents, carers and their children from the local community and the surrounding area. Your child will be learning through play, gaining confidence and independence along the way, ensuring they get the best possible start to their lifelong learning journey.
We care for children aged from 3 months to 11 years and look forward to welcoming you and your family soon.
We care for your children in 3 rooms – Polka Dots, Polka Tots and Cool Cats.

Polka Dots
Our baby room offers care for babies from 3 to 24 months in a home from home, caring, safe and stimulating environment.

Polka Tots
This is for children from 2 years to school age. A great place to make friends, gain confidence and grow into an independent individual, ready for school.

Cool Cats
This for children who can’t stay away! Aimed at children aged 5 -11 years, Cool Cats is the only breakfast, after school and holiday club in the area.
Your child’s day will be planned around their individual routines ensuring their personal needs are met. Their key person will provided exciting and stimulating toys and activities in order for your child to reach their full potential. They will record their progress using the online learning story ‘Tapestry’ which is based around the government’s mandatory curriculum, ‘The Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS). The EYFS will follow your child from their first day at Polka Day Care through to the end of their reception class at school.
Child’s Safety and Security
The safety of your child while in our care is of the upmost importance to us. We have put in a number of safety and security measures to ensure the safety of our children at all times.
Access to Polka Day Care is via a videx system, where staff can identify the visitor before they gain access onto our property. Each outside and internal door allowing access to different areas, have a key code entry system. Visitors are asked to sign our visitor’s book and wear a visitors badge so they can be clearly identified. All persons not known to Polka Day Care staff, who are not wearing a visitors badge, will be challenged and asked to leave immediately. Everyone has the right to challenge anything they see.
Your child will only be allowed back into your care, or anyone else you have authorised to pick your child up at registration. If anyone else is picking your child up this must be prearranged with us. If this person is not known to Polka Day Care staff, a mutually agreed password must be given. A collection book must be signed by the parent to confirm that some else is picking their child up. If we have any uncertainty at all, we will not allow the child to leave with that person.
On outings, children are cared for by a higher child to adult ratio, and a full risk assessment is carried out before the outing takes place. Outings further than walking distance will always be confirmed with you before they take place.
We have deliberately designed the setting as very ‘open’ so that everything that is going on within the setting is viable to others, without detracting from the child’s privacy. We want to know who and what is happening in our setting at all times.
